Jesus said, “God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.” Why is it so hard to get two seemingly opposite points of reference to work together?
Spirit is described as water, rain, wind, and fire. It seems to move, you can not hold it, and it is abstract. Truth often gets solidified into hard facts, science, cold unfeeling laws of nature, and yet still very abstract.
Somehow the Christian life seems to be a constant effort to pull two opposites together. Or perhaps it like walking down a narrow path with deep ditches on both sides. If you walk down the middle you are on the straight and narrow. if you go too far to either side, you fall in the ditch.
My purpose for creating this website is the collect complimentary sides of the issue to give a better middle ground perspective. I am seriously passionate about the spirit world. I have many strange experiences myself personally. Yet, I am passionate about science, history, real evidence to support the spiritual concepts.
For example is the earth young or old, or maybe both? Do we need more freedom or more discipline, or maybe both? Is it love and grace, that should be the main focus of our message, or holiness, righteous, and sanctification? Or maybe it is both sides. Are we new creations in Christ now, or are we working out our salvation throughout our lifetime?
